David G. Tehan     David G. Tehan became a member of the firm in January of 2002, and has focused his practice on: Civil and Commercial Litigation Contracts Real Estate Business Formation Elder Law and Estate Planning     He is admitted to practice in New York State (1997) and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York (2000). David also currently serves as legal counsel to several local not-for-profit agencies in the community.     A native of Auburn, David graduated from Auburn High School in 1988. He graduated from Providence College in 1992 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Business Studies; and the University of Akron School of Law in 1996, where he represented the Law School in the Forty-Sixth Annual National Law Society Moot Court Competition.     He began the practice of Law with another local law firm, gaining abundant experience in personal injury and civil litigation. In 1999, David became the Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Auburn, developing extensive experience in contract work, Planning and Zoning Law, Municipal Law, Real Property Assessment litigation, as well as civil litigation.     David's commitment to the community arises from both family and personal activity. The Cayuga Agency, a local insurance agency, has been in the Tehan family for over fifty years. David is also a graduate of the Leadership Cayuga Program, Class of 2000, and served on the Advisory Committee of that program from September 2000 to December 2001.     David is married to the former Karen Donner, a native of Rochester, New York, and has three children, Patrick, Maire, and Rachel.
