David G. Tehan, Esq.
David G. Tehan became a member of the firm in January of 2002, and has focused his practice on Business Formation and Transactions, Contracts, Estate Planning, Elder Law and Medicaid Planning, Real Estate, Civil and Commercial Litigation. Together with his partners, he participates in the presentation of a semi-annual Elder Law seminar sponsored by the Cayuga County Office of the Aging.
He began the practice of law with another local law firm, before serving as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Auburn for three years, developing extensive experience in contract work, Planning and Zoning Law, Municipal Law, Real Estate, Assessment litigation, as well as civil litigation.
David's commitment to the community arises from both family and personal activity. In conjunction with the Office of the Aging, he has organized the Pro-Bono Senior Law Clinics held twice yearly with the participation of several local attorneys. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, Cayuga Counseling Service, Inc., and the Cayuga Community Fund, in addition to representing two local not-for profit organizations providing services to children and families. He is a graduate of the Leadership Cayuga Program, Class of 2000, and served on the Advisory Committee of that program from September 2000 to December 2001.
David is married to the former Karen Donner, the couple have three beautiful children.
